Wale Premieres Documentary On His Visit To Nigeria

Wale, the famous Nigerian born African American rapper will premiere his documentary - "Wale: I Am From" on his visit to Nigeria on January 20th at 10 p.m. EST Only On REVOLT TV

To kick off the new year, REVOLT announced plans today to air its first original documentary special entitled, "Wale: I Am From." Premiering on January 20 th at 10 p.m. EST, "Wale: I Am From" will follow Maybach Music superstar Wale on his recent trek to Africa to discover his Nigerian roots. The hour-long special produced by REVOLT TV documents the rapper and Washington DC native's journey to meet his grandparents while racing against the clock to get back to the United States.

Tonto & Yul Edochie Are 2013 Sexiest Nollywood Stars

We can now heave a sigh of relief after months of dire expectation, guessing game and wild permutation.

The Sexiest woman, according to the votes that came him from the readers through sms and cut-off coupons from Vanguard newspaper is Tonto Dikeh, while Yul Edochie emerged the Sexiest man in the men’s category.

Tonto beat Ebube Nwagbo and Colette Orji who came second and third respectively. Follwing the first three women are Cynthia Agholor on 4th and Stephanie Okereke on 5th.

In the Men’s category, Yul Edochie overcame challenges from Benson Okonkwo and Uti Nwachukwu who came second and third respectively. Odunlade Adekola and Ali Nuhu completed the picture at fourth and fifth places respectively.

These two rappers had beef for a long time, and actually made diss tracks for each other. Reminisce made two or three diss tracks for Vector, while Vector made one indirectly dissing Reminisce. Heard the beef started after Vector made a song with Saucekid and said something in the track Reminisce thought was for him, so made a diss track for Vector.

Anyway, all that is in the past as they met and reconciled at an album launch where they both went to perform on 30th December in Uyo. Heard they will be getting into the studio sometime soon to do a song together. 2014 is the year of no beef! It's really not worth it

Patience Ozokwor beats Rita Dominic, Nse Ikpe-Etim at Ghana Movie Awards 2013

Patience Ozokwo is ending the year in grand style bagging an award with only hours left in 2013. The Nigerian actress beat four other Nigerian actresses Nse Ikpe-Etim, Rita Dominic and Ivie Okujaye to win the ‘Best African Collaboration‘ at the 2013 edition of the Ghana Movie Awards. Ozokwo won the award for her role in the movie ‘Slave Boy‘. Other big winners of the night were Jackie Appiah who beat Yvonne Nelson and Yvonne Okoro to win the ‘Best Actress‘ and John Dumelo who beat Majid Michel to win the ‘Best Actor‘ award. ‘The Rock’ named 2013 highest grossing actor

Dwayne Johnson has been named the top grossing actor in the world by Forbes magazine, thanks to the success of the movies, ‘Fast & Furious 6’ and ‘GI Joe: Retaliation’.

The wrestler turned actor, also known by his one-time ring name ‘The Rock’, emerged ahead of Iron Man 3’s Robert Downey Jr. and Fast & Furious co-stars, Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker, on the list. His four films of 2013 generated a staggering $1.3bn in total.

Video director Sesan and Beat FM OAP Fade Ogunro have lost their father Sesan Ogunro in a tragic robbery incident in Lagos last night December 22, 2013.

Their father, sources told NET, was shot dead in the presence of his family around Marwa Gardens in Ikeja, Lagos, shortly after leaving Church where they attended a Christmas carol service.

Nigerian Musicians Threaten To Boycott Xmas Events

Pop icon, 2face Idibia bared his mind on the issue and he his not happy with the current situation while Banky W, co-owner of Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) threatened to pull out of all events if the feud is not resolved soon.

Nigerian musicians have threatened to boycott events holding this Christmas and afterwards.

Following the ongoing feud between Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) and the joint alliance of the Independence Broadcast Association of Nigeria (IBAN) and Broadcast Organization of Nigeria (BON) which has led to the ban of 96 musicians on radio and TV, COSON and its members have reacted.

Rising from a stakeholders interactive session that was recently held on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Rumours Night Club, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos to declare its stance, the members amongst other things declared that it is not going to change its position on the issue of royalties even if their message will be driven with series of boycotts of events this Christmas season.
