Last week, Omotola Jalade-Ekiende went on a rant on social media in response to entertainment bloggers who described her daughter Meraiah Ekeinde as ‘Hot and sexy’.
The Nollywood actress and 2013 Time Magazine Icon barked at online media, chastising them for visiting her 14-year-old daughter’s Instagram page, culling her photos and spreading them all over the internet.
‘Thank you to everyone who wished Meraiah a happy birthday. However, going to a 14 year old’s ‘private’ online accts to post her pictures for public viewing is totally inappropriate. Her father and I are horrified as parents and guardian that a minor’s picture can be paraded online as ‘hot’ ,’sexy’ etc.’, she wrote on her official Facebook page.

A West Virginia Pizza Hut has been shut down after the manager was caught on surveillance video peeing in the sink used to wash cooking utensils.
Local media reports that the Mingo County health department has ordered the fast-food restaurant, Pizza Hut Corp., in the town of Charleston to shut down following the release of the disgusting surveillance video.
Wowktv.comreports that a sign has been placed on the Pizza Hut's front door saying the restaurant has been shut down because of "conditions within the establishment constituting a substantial hazard to the public health."
President Jonathan suspends Lamido Sanusi as CBN governor, appoints Dr. Sarah Alade as acting Governor.
Having taken special notice of reports of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and other investigating bodies, which indicate clearly that Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s tenure has been characterized by various acts of financial recklessness and misconduct which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focused economic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline;
Being also deeply concerned about far-reaching irregularities under Mallam Sanusi’s watch which have distracted the Central Bank away from the pursuit and achievement of its statutory mandate; and
Being determined to urgently re-position the Central Bank of Nigeria for greater efficiency, respect for due process and accountability, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from the Office of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
President Jonathan has further ordered that Mallam Sanusi should hand over to the most senior Deputy Governor of the CBN, Dr Sarah Alade who will serve as Acting Governor until the conclusion of on-going investigations into breaches of enabling laws, due process and mandate of the CBN.
The President expects that as Acting Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Alade will focus on the core mandate of the Bank and conduct its affairs with greater professionalism, prudence and propriety to restore domestic and international confidence in the country’s apex bank.
The Federal Government of Nigeria reassures all stakeholders in Nigeria’s financial and monetary system that this decision has been taken in absolute good faith, in the overall interest of the Nigerian economy and in accordance with our laws and due process.

They had a name for him. Homo. They mocked him because his hips swayed when he walked and his hands fluttered when he spoke. He brushed away their taunts, silently, sometimes grinning an uncomfortable grin. He must have wished that he could be what they wanted him to be. I imagine now how helplessly lonely he must have felt. The boys often asked, “Why can’t he just be like everyone else?”

The Middlesboro Police Department told WBIR that Coots was found dead in his home around 10 p.m. Saturday night after leaving his Middlesboro, K.Y., church, the Full Gospel Tabernacle in Jesus' Name, where he suffered a bite from a venomous snake during an evening church service.
Multiple sources report that when an ambulance crew and firefighters showed up at the pastor’s residence, Coots refused to be taken to the hospital for treatment of the snake bite. Coots was a member of a Pentecostal church whose followers practice snake handling and believe in faith healing.

"This picture always make tears come down my chin, she was 2years old here, I was living in the street I kept my baby with a friend so I can go look for money for us to survive, n my daughter was kicked out of my friends house, I had no where to keep her, I was begging for a place to stay so she can be safe and sleep , so I started crying and she said to me mummy I will buy you chocolate don't cry ok? that even made me cry the more ... I managed to knock on a rich guy's gate and beg for help and Cos of the baby he gave me a room and a nanny so I can work in one of his restaurants, I managed, I did all I could to give my daughter a good life, it was a long story but today she is schooling in one of the best schools in Europe ! And she will be 13years old on Tomorrow! I'm Still hustling hard till she gets to university ! No time! I'm happy she is alive and doing great!
Her father's family didn't want him to marry a black woman so they offered me 3 million naira as at that time to go and leave the baby, but I refused instead I left them all to do it on my own!"

People who donate a kidney have an extremely low risk of developing kidney failure in their remaining organ, according to a new study.
The risk among living kidney donors is even lower than for people with two kidneys, the Johns Hopkins researchers said. They added that the findings should reassure people who are considering donating a kidney.
The investigators looked at data from more than 96,000 adults in the United States who donated a kidney between April 1994 and November 2011 and were followed for up to 15 years. They were compared to more than 20,000 people with two kidneys.
