1. You’re Fascinated by What Makes People Tick. Emotionally intelligent people are fascinated by human behavior. They notice things like body language, dialect, and personal tics. Being a people-watcher helps them find clues about what makes each individual special.
2. You’re an Enthusiastic Leader Who Walks the Walk. Emotionally intelligent people know it’s silly to talk the talk if they’re not willing to walk the walk. Instead of leading behind by delivering commands, they lead from the front by setting an example.

Man Risks Life & Limb To Save Xbox From Burning House
It must be devastating to watch your home become engulfed by flames, while you, powerless to do anything about it, have to stand by and watch everything you treasure be destroyed beyond repair. Although there must be an overwhleming feeling to just salvage everything you can, most people would stay at a safe distance. That was not the case for a man in Kansas though.
Initially when he realised that his house was on fire, the man did what most people would naturally do,he got out sharpish. No doubt it was while he was standing there watching the flames grow higher and higher, that he realised he had left something precious behind; his Xbox.
The man risked his life and re-entered the house in order to save his beloved game console. Thankfully both the man and his Xbox survived unscathed, so the drastic reaction was not in vain. According to reports, the man needed to be treated for smoke inhalation but nothing more.
The fire is said to have caused damage amounting to approximately $80,000. There has been no confirmation surrounding what model of Xbox was rescued.
Would you risk your life for your favourite device?

Foods That Benefit The Body But Harm The Teeth
I came across this while surfing the net today and decided to share, here.....
In the world of foods, a lot of weirdos apply. It turned out that many foods that benefit the body are harmful to the teeth. Here’s a list of some of such foods…
MILK
Nutritionists note that milk is a healthy source of calcium. Other top sources of this mineral are cheese, turnip greens, oranges, and broccoli; but milk not only has the most calcium, it’s also a great source of vitamin D, riboflavin, carotene, and retinol, among others.
However, despite these numerous pluses, milk can wreak havoc on your teeth — that is if you take much milk while you are careless with oral hygiene! A dentist, Dr. Deola Olonilua, says the lactose (a form of sugar) in milk rots the teeth as much as frizzy drinks do.
She warns that even though certain foods are healthy, the presence of certain elements or minerals in then can damage the teeth when the eater has prolonged exposure to such foods.
She says, “Milk has a sugar in it called lactose. The lactose in milk can be especially dangerous for children if they have it just before bedtime. This is because the milk will still be on their teeth as they sleep, and the sugars are converted to acids by oral bacteria. The acids can coat the teeth and consequently eat away at the tooth enamel. That is one of the ways people develop cavities.”
She advises that people should not hit the bed immediately after taking milk. Rather, she counsels, “You should rinse your mouth thoroughly after taking milk, or better still, brush your teeth as the last thing before bed.

Men With Multiple intimate Partners Prone To Prostate Cancer – Expert
Ibadan – A Consultant at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Dr Taiwo Soyinka , says Nigerian men who have multiple intimate partners are more prone to prostate cancer. Soyinka told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Tuesday, in Ibadan that prostate cancer is the abnormal growth of cells within the prostate gland. The consultant said the ailment was common in men who are over 60 years of age, adding that those who had more than one intimate partner were mostly affected. She advised Nigerian men to be alert to certain body pains, saying this might be early signs of cancer.
“Some of the cancer symptoms in men are specific and they involve certain body parts and may even point directly to the possibility of cancer. “A mass in the scrotum or testicles may point to a cancer of that part of the body. “ But not all pains in parts of the private parts lead to cancer but the possibility should not be ruled out,” she said. The consultant advised men to look for signs of prostate cancer early so as to reduce the high risk factor.
“I will advise men to look for a dull persistent pain in the lower back and the pelvic area. This is the most common sign of prostate cancer, ‘’ she said. Soyinka said spotting signs of any type of cancer early could lead to about 80 percent survival rate, adding that the survival rate of prostate cancer had doubled in the country in the last 10 years compared to the 1970s. She also said there were more reasons for hope as there were better drugs as well as more advanced treatment options for cancer. The consultant further advised men to live a healthy intimate life at all times as well as learn to look for signs and symptoms of cancer early. (NAN)
What Keshi Told The Team Back In The Dressing Room
Nigeria defeated Morocco 4-3. Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi has given some insight on what transpired in the dressing room when his team was trailing 0-3 in Saturday’s crunch quarter final battle against the Atlas Lions of Morocco.
The Big Boss in the post-match conference said he told his players that they were simply not playing their game.
“What I told them at half time was that we were not the one playing like that, I told them they were giving too much respect to the Moroccans. Even though they are a good team, they don’t deserve such from us, we are supposed to take our game to them and that is what they did in the second half. I told them I want to see the same character or more like they displayed in the game against Bafana Bafana and they did that,” he said.

The Truth About our Educational System
Like most Nigerians, I didn't go to any Nigeria-based foreign school. Schools that advertise in newspapers.
I have read a lot of economic papers/statements on Nigeria. At first, I took them very personal and found faults in every negative thing said about Nigeria. That a graduate in Nigeria is much less productive than a graduate in US. That our primary schools are filled with unmotivated and poor quality teachers, such that it's not uncommon to find students with Primary School Leaving Certificates who can't read and write well. And the secondary schools are just slightly better. I still find faults in these statements but it's because I know of exceptions. Unfortunately, the exceptions are very few. In fact, I used to think I'm an exception, until I met reality. It's almost like starting my education all over after University. I even bought English grammar books. I had to teach myself almost everything from scratch. And to keep in touch with reality, and not the delusion I see around, I joined several global job boards and forums. I'm constantly assessing myself from a global standpoint. How do I stand in the international labour market?
Every major industry in the world started from the Schools. The internet we are crazy about now has being in existence since the 1960s, used by students in Universities. The entire personal computing industry started in the universities. Most of the big companies started as a student's research project. The multi-billion dollar oil refining industry began as an interest of a University student in finding an alternative to whale oil. The entire aviation industry is the result of over a 1000 years of research publications. If a tree is judged by its fruits, then the universities in Nigeria are not good. There are Nigerians who have written world changing research papers, all while in a foreign university.
While in my final year, some of us tried to do a real project. Something unique, not done before. Most of us gave up when we saw the task involved. A friend got stuck for months at getting components; the foreign company that sells the components only sell in bulk. Some mechanical students couldn't get the special type of metal/alloy needed for their projects; the only metals in Nigeria are Steel, Aluminium and Iron. A set before us that tried building a car ended up using heavy metals for the car body. Students in Sciences limited themselves to the test equipment they have, mostly old equipment.
And as for the reason for this. Fingers are pointing everywhere -- the government, the lecturers, the university boards, the students, the parents, no funding, e.t.c. But there's one thing you and I can do. We can let this educational decay die with us. We shouldn't pass it on to the next generation. Ensure your (future) child gets a proper education. Education is only as expensive as books and a teacher. Make sure your child meets the learning targets of every stage of his education. Some of the people we study their works in school were self educated and learned everything they knew from reading. No matter how not-so-rich you are, buy and make your child read quality books. Let him enjoy reading. Be his part-time teacher, if you can't afford one. Don't let us pass on this decay. Learning is not exclusive to the inner walls of an educational institution. By making sure that your child meets the learning objectives of having a primary school education, a secondary school education, and a university education, you're building a new and better educational system for us. Whether you did this by schooling them in the best school on earth, or the almost free one you could afford and supplementing with lots of books and your time. It's a worthy sacrifice. They will replace the current politicians, current lecturers, current labour pool, and current parents. And soon, the exceptional brilliance we see in a few of our contemporaries will become a national norm. And Canadians will come here for their study abroad programs.

Be a Genius
To create something that is unique and full of value. That's being a genius.
Talent wins you a competition; genius has no competition. And everyone can be a genius. Forget about what your school reports said about you. Forget about what your teachers said about you. Forget about what your colleagues say about you. Get out of the competition mentality. What you are destined/designed to do is beyond what currently exists and what any other person can conceive. You are different for a purpose. Don't let anyone compare you to someone else. Don't let anyone cage your potential. Don't let anyone tell you how far you can go. Don't let anyone dim your light.

Let us sing a new song
Let us sing a new song, a new song of hope, of revival, of new ethical and moral values embedded in respect for the rule of law and innovative economic policies that respond to the experiences and realities of the Nigerian people. The other day, five Peoples Democratic Party governors defected to the All Progressives Congress. The media reported it as an earth-shaking event and many commentaries fed on it. But in this defection, what is new and how will this change the poor living conditions of the people? Nigerians are still waiting for the APC to tell us what change it hopes to bring to the country if it is given access to presidential power.
