Imo Assembly To Honour Young Rocket Launchers

• Summons Immigration boss over Boko Haram

IMPRESSED by their feat, the Imo State House of Assembly has invited the two school children from Okigwe, Masters Gideon Emenike and Kingsley Nwofor, to the Assembly Tuesday for special recognition.

The two boys who are in secondary school ‘launched’ small rocket which flew about 100 meters.

Also, the lawmakers have summoned the Controller of Immigration, to appear before them to explain the alleged case of infiltration of Boko Haram insurgents into Aboh Mbaise, as reported by a local newspaper in the state.

In a statement on Sunday, the Speaker of the Assembly, Chief Benjamin Uwajumogu urged relevant authorities to award the two boys scholarship.

The lawmaker representing Okigwe in the House, Chief Acho Ihim, had drew the attention of the House to the young boys’ feat.

The Minority Leader, Mrs. Ngozi Pat-Ekeji, had raised the issue of the alleged influx of Boko Haram members on the floor of the House.
